Nathalia Sánchez was the first Colombian gymnast to qualify for the Olympic Games. She achieved the silver medal at the 2016 Sucre Pan American Gymnastics Games. Unfortunately, that same year she suffered a knee injury, which prevented her from competing and left her out of action until 2017.

She is currently preparing to return to compete professionally and represent Colombia in the next Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which were rescheduled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Besides gymnastics, Nathalia also trains crossfit. She lives with her fiancé, who is a Puerto Rican gymnast who was a member of The Golden Boys.
